Leonardo is paid a salary of 104 livres for the year by the French state, under Louis XII.

On 21st October Leonardo is asked to advise on the design of the choir stalls of Milan Cathedral.

During this year Leonardo executed a body of anatomical studies of the muscles and the skeleton now at the Royal Collection, Windsor.
