Leonardo notes a trip to Savoy.

On 28th April Leonardo notes that he has solved the geometric problem of squaring two curved outlines, and the making of a canal in Milan.

De Divina Proportione by Luca Pacioli is published in Venice, illustrated with woodcuts after designs by Leonardo.

Raphael is engaged to decorate the rooms of the Papal apartments of the Vatican with frescoes.

Death of King Henry VII. He is succeeded by King Henry VIII who marries Catherine of Aragon.
